Privacy Policy

Tunr ("we," "us") is a live music discovery app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to show you live music near you and run your account — and we don't sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you create an account.
• Profile information you choose to add. Photos, a bio, your city, genre preferences, and social media links — for fan, artist, or venue profiles.
• Location. If you grant permission, your device location is used to show shows, artists, and venues near you. You can also set a city manually instead. We use location to power discovery; we do not keep a history of your movements.
• Content you create. Posts, shows, comments, likes, RSVPs, bookmarks, follows, and messages you send through the app.
• Usage and device data. Basic technical data (device type, app version, crash logs) used to keep the app working.

How we use it

• To run the service: show nearby shows, deliver notifications you've opted into, and display your profile and posts to other users per your settings.
• To keep Tunr safe: content you post is screened by automated moderation, and our team reviews reports.
• To communicate with you: service emails such as account verification and profile-claim decisions.

What we share

• With other users: whatever you make public — your profile, posts, comments, and RSVPs (subject to your privacy settings, such as private profiles).
• With service providers: we use Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Anthropic (automated content moderation), Resend (transactional email), and Expo (app infrastructure and push notifications). These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
• Show data sources: public event listings displayed in Tunr come from sources such as Ticketmaster and venues' published calendars; ticket links take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices and rights

• Location can be turned off anytime in your device settings; the app still works with a manually chosen city.
• Notifications can be managed per-artist in the app or globally in device settings.
• Blocking: you can block any user; you'll no longer see their content and they won't be able to message you.
• Delete your account anytime from your profile settings — this permanently removes your profile, posts, and associated data.
• You may also request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us at the address below.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our production systems. Data is stored with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Children

Tunr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date above.
